Research Description:
Members of Electronic Ceramics Sensor Research Laboratory(ECSRL) are doing some researches to develop some kinds of piezoelectric and/or magnetic sensor & actuator, and ¥ì-devices needed for miniaturization of currently developing IT instruments, utilizing the lithography technology. Also are developing MEMS(Micro ElctroMechanical System) devices required for their sophisticated patterns, high resolution upon command in response to an end-user. Our deceptively rich research continues to bring up a new possibility for modern functional electronic devices.
A couple of national research projects
into the magnetic and piezoelectric sensors have been initiated involving other universities and industrial research laboratories. This work was in collaboration with Prof. K.H. Shin at the Kyungsung university, research into " structure and function of magneto-photonic crystals with higher spatial dimensions " has been undertaken by Korea-Japan interdisciplinary research program of Korea Science & Engineering Foundation(KOSEF)
and JSPS, 2001-2003.
The electronic ceramics sensor research group currently comprises fourteen persons, including three faculty or professional persons, four graduate students, and seven undergraduates. There are two separate research projects with external sponsors including Korean government such as Korea Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Energy; industry such as Samwon FA Co. Ltd. This research program currently includes "Fabrication of high functional thin film for u-devices and its applications" with a consortium of Samwon FA company under support of Regional Technology Innovation Program of Korea Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy(2004-2013). An international research program with Prof. M. Inoue at the Toyohashi University of Technology was initiated under joint funding from the JSPS and KOSEF. A second international collaborative project with the Japan is planned on 2006 about the wireless micro sized pressure sensor.
