Dr. Sung Ryol Kim has published internationally in learned journals in the United States and England. His research interests are the modern British novel, especially Conrad, Victorian literature, and the relationship between myth and literature.

: Students work with the basic English sentence structure, devising ways to write a variety of syntactic patterns for sentence variety and a maturer prose.

: Students work with longer compositions primarily autobiographical in nature to develop a fluid writing style.

: Students work on topic sentences, supporting details, and different kinds of academic writing.
- English-American Short Story
: An introduction to some masterpieces in this genre with an emphasis on the formal elements.
- English Essay (Graduate Course)
