이명진은 세계적인 첼리스트Natalia Gutman이 극찬한 우리나라 최고의 첼리스트 한명으로,
예원학교를 거쳐 서울예고 음악상을 수상, 수석 졸업한 후 도독하여 Essen Folkwang 국립학교에
수석 입학하였다.
조영창 교수의 지도를 받은 그는 첼로 Diplom에서 현악과 최초로 Auszeichung (최우수성적)을 받았으며,
실내악 Diplom에서 Lasalle 현악사중주단의 Walter Levine 교수와 V. Mendelssohn 교수를 사사하였고
또한 최우수성적을 받았다.
이후 Stuttgart 국립학교에 입학, 동양인 처음으로 세계적인 교수 Natalia Gutman에게 사사하며
Solistenklasse (최고연주자 과정)을 마쳤다.
한국일보 콩쿠르, 조선 콩쿠르, 예원. 예고 실내악 콩쿠르 등의 우승을 통하여 국내무대에서 인정받은
그는 독일 Folkwang 콩쿠르에서 16년 만에 첼로 부문이 대상을 거머쥐는 기록을 남기었으며,
바르셀로나 카날스 국제 콩쿠르 수상하였다. 마스터 클래스를 통해 만난
세계적 명지도자 M. Rostropovich, S. Palm, F. Helmerson로부터 연주 감각을 익혔다.
베를린 필 지휘자 Claudio Abbado 가 대표로 있는 Oleg Kagan 국제 음악제에 1999년부터 정기적으로
초청되어, 바리톤 Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau 해설, 바이올린 K. Blacher (베를린 필 악장), Nigel Kenndy,
피아노 V. Lobanov, 비올라 V. Mendelssohn, 첼로 N. Gutman, F. Helmerson, 조영창,
소프라노 Dame Mararet Price 등 수많은 대가들과 실내악 연주를 함께하며 국제적으로도 그 실력을 인정받았다.
서울 국제 음악제, Pan 국제 현대 음악제(ISCM), 통영 윤이상 국제 음악제 등에 참가하였으며,
쥬네스 앙상블 미국 유럽 순회 연주, 그 외에도 오스트리아 Wien 심포니, 독일 Stendal 국립 교향악단,
체코 Virtuosi 오케스트라, KBS 교향악단, 코리안 심포니, 부천시향, 울산시향, 인천시향, 창원시향,
부산시향 등과 협연하며 활발한 연주 활동을 펼치고 있다.
국제 윤이상 협회 주최로 독일에서 첼로 솔로 CD 음반을 발표했고, 피아니스트 올리버 케른과
2010년에 제작될 베토벤, 브람스 첼로 소나타 앨범은, 최근 대한민국 클래식 열풍의 트렌드에
편승하지 않으면서, 가볍지 않은 진정한 전통 클래식 레퍼토리로 채워질 예정이다.
화음 쳄버 오케스트라 멤버로 지냈으며, 2008년부터 부산 MBC 라디오 ‘FM 가정음악실’을 진행한 바 있다.
현재 동아대학교 교수로 재직 중이며, 왕성한 실내악 활동과 솔로 및
현대음악을 연주하고 있다. |

She is best praised by Natalia Gutman, a world's most renowned cellist, as one of the best Korean cellist. She studied at Yewon school and received Seoul Arts High School Best Prize and Seoul music award. She graduated first in her class and also entered Essen Folkwang University of the Arts first on the list. Under the guidance of Young Chang Cho, she received Auszeichung (the best grade) at cello Diplom, for the frist time in the division of string, also received the same grade at chamber music Diplom under the guidance of Walter Levine of La salle Quartet and V. Mendelssohn. Afterward she entered Stuttgart University of the Arts, studied under Natalia Gutman, and finished Solistenklasse (the best musician course).
She was domestically well recognized by winning the first place in The Korea Times competition, The Chosun Newspaper competition, Seoul Arts High School chamber music competition, etc. She also won the grand prize in German Folkwang competition. It was the first time for a cellist to win a grand prize in 16 years. She also won a prize in Barcelona Maria Canals International competition. She learned musical sense from internationally well known mentors including M. Rostropovich, S. Palm, and F. Helmerson.
She has been regularly invited to Oleg Kagan Music festival since 1999 where Claudio Abbado, a conductor of Berlin Philharmonic is a representative and played chamber music with many musical masters including Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau (a commentary, baritone), K. Blacher (a concertmaster of Berlin Philharmonic), Nigel Kennedy (violin), V. Lobanov (piano), V. Mendelssohn (viola), N. Gutman, F. Helmerson, Young Chang Cho (cello), Dame Mararet Price (soprano), etc.
She has participated in Seoul International Music Festival, Pan International Modern Music Festival (ISCM), Tonyeong Isang Yun International Music Festival, etc. She has also performed with Jeuness Ensemble, Austria Wien Symphony, German Stendal National Symphony, Czech Virtuosi Orchestra, KBS Symphony Orchestra, Korean Symphony, Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Ulsan Symphony Orchestra, Incheon Symphony Orchestra, Changwon Symphony Orchestra, Busan Symphony Orchestra, etc.
With support from International Isang Yun Society, She has released CD recording of Cello Solo in Germany. In 2010, she recorded an album of Beethoven and Brahms' cello sonatas with pianist Oliver Kern, a professor of piano at the university of Hamburg, which did not just follow recent hot trend of classical music in Korea and yet was filled with serious and traditional repertoire of classical music.
Currently she works as a professor of Donga University and as a member of Hwaum Chamber Orchestra, and plays excellent chamber, solo, and modern music. She has served as a DJ for 'FM house music room' of Busan MBC radio since 2008.

Cellistin Myung Jin Lee in Seoul (Sudkorea) geborene hat ihre Schulausbildung an der Kunstoberschule in Seoul ebenso mit Auszeichnung abgeschlossen wie ihr anschliessendes Studium an der Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, an der sie Cello bei Young-Chang Cho sowie Kammermusik bei Walter Levin und Vladimir Mendelssohn studierte. Zur Vervollkommnung ihrer Ausbildung besuchte sie die Solistenklasse von Natalia Gutman an der Hochschule in Stuttgart und Meisterkurse bei so herausragenden Solisten wie Mitislav Rostropowich, Siegfried Palm, Franz Helmerssohn, Julius Berger und Eduard Brunner.
Ausgezeichnet bei internationalen Wettbewerben wie dem Folkwang-Wettbewerb in Essen oder dem internationalen Maria-Canals-Wettbewerb in Barcelona, konzertiert sie als Solistin mit international renommierten Orchestern und Instrumentalisten, darunter die Wiener Symphoniker, die Korean Symphony, die Philharmonie der Stadt Bu-Chun, das KBS Rundfunkorchester, Ulsan Symphony Orchestra, Incheon Symphony Orchestra, Changwon Symphony Orchestra, Busan Symphony Orchestra und dem Ausnahmegeiger Nigel Kennedy. Sie ist ein gern gesehener Gast auf den Musikfestivals der Welt wie dem Oleg Kagan Musikfest, dem Seoul International Festival, dem Tonyeong Isang Yun International Music Festival und dem ISCM Pan Neue Musik Festival.
Ihrer breite Erfahrung auf dem Gebiet der Kammermusik erwarb sie u.a. im gemeinsamen Musizieren mit Natalia Gutman, Kolja Blacher, Vassily Lobanov, Franz Helmerssohn, Young-Chang Cho und Vladimir Mendelssohn.
2010 ist ihre CD mit Werken von Beethoven und Brahms Sonata erschienen, die sie zusammen mit dem Pianist Oliver Kern eingespielt hat. Neben anderen Aufnahmen ist eine Solo-CD mit Werken von Isang Yun bei der Isang Yun Gesellschaft e.V. erschienen.
Sie hat als Moderatorin im MBC FM Radio gearbeitet.
Sie ist Mitglied im Hwaum Kammerorchester und Professorin an der Donga Universitat in Korea. |
