Structural Geology - Mapping/GIS Software
This site contains Windows 9x, 2000, and XP packages for plotting stereographic projections and rose diagrams, including wind roses (GEOrient); for structural and drillhole calculations (GeoCalculator); for strain, and shear zone calculations;  GIS (Mapinfo) software for calculating vector trends (azimuths) and lengths (GeoMapVector) and tools for plotting structural symbols on maps in MapInfo (GeoMapSymbol). StereoNet - is a user friendly tool to display, change and analyze orientational data. It displays data in different views: as text, in equal area / equal angle upper / lower hemisphere projection, etc. using diffent symbols, colors etc and also shows great circles, small circles and displacement vectors. Additionally, StereoNet rotates the data as well as computes some simple statistical parameter. StereoNet also contours data densities and computes paleostress directions from fault-slip data. Included is a little help file, and an example- dataset.
